Yanks took the 1st game of a best of 5 series against the wild-card Detroit Tigers. Wang did his thing! Jeter went 5 for 5 including a solo homer (then people ask why he is the Captain of the team). Giambi blasted a two run-homer and even stole a base (slow as a turtle but stole a base!) to help the Yanks win by a score of 8-4! Surprisingly, both Cano and Matsui went 0 for 4! Damon, Abreu and Posada went 2 for 5, 2 for 5 and 2 for 4, respectively. Also surprisingly, although he did just come back from surgery, Shef went 1 for 4 and last but not least, the 20 million dollar bum went 1 for 4 and needless to say that this was not at all surprising! I would be a much happier Yankee fan if Rodriguez was GONE!
Let’s go YANKEES!

It’s been a while! I really have to start blogging here again. I haven’t done so in soooo long. Tomorrow I plan on beginning a new workout regimen to get back in shape so I’ll update here to keep a journal. 🙂

Well aren’t the Yankees off to an incredible start? 15-2 in the opening game of the season! Tied the record for the most runs scored in an away opening game by the Yankees! I was hoping they’d break the record. Anyway, if this is what we are headed for throughout this season, won’t that be a dream come true! Let’s go Yankees!!!

Wow! We had a record breaking snow storm! The National Weather Service said 26.9 inches of snow had fallen in Central Park, the most for a single storm since record-keeping started in 1869. The old record was 26.4 inches in December 1947. To the right you will find a few pics that I took while shoveling.

Well, here is my first blog of the year…
It’s a new year with new resolutions! I’ll elaborate a little more later on tonight. I have a lot on my mind that I’m going to share right here on my little web space.
Happy b-day Chris! Yesterday was my son’s 17th b-day! Can you believe I have a 17 year old son and I’m only 35? ïŠ
To celebrate his b-day we went to Jekyll & Hyde. It’s one of the his and his sisters’ favorite places to go for a birthday celebration. The staff at the restaurant do a nice job of making the kids feel special for their b-days. Here is an example of the things they tell the kids; “We hope you die!†“You’re celebrating your b-day and people are dying all over the worldâ€. It’s really sick but the kids absolutely love it and I enjoy nothing more in life than watching them enjoy themselves.
Thanks to Kevin and Mikkie for joining us. It wouldn’t have been as much fun as it was if you two weren’t there! Especially when Kevin burnt his finger with the candle, and no, it wasn’t my fault. 😉
I’ll get more personal about my goals later on this evening….
Until then,
Ron
